What is 3D Printing?
3D printing involves constructing three-dimensional objects from Computer Aided Design (CAD) models or digital 3D models, utilizing materials like Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS). Its applications in the biomedical field have immense potential, including the creation of laboratory equipment, anatomical and molecular structures, and rapid development of prototypes.

3D Printing at the NIH Library
The NIH Library provides free 3D printing services for NIH staff to support work-related projects, such as printing laboratory equipment, anatomical and molecular structures, and prototypes. See examples in this short 3D printing video. Ready to print? Fill out this form to submit your print request
