NIH Library to Host Series of NIH Research Festival Workshops and More – September 18-20, 2023

Join the NIH Library in welcoming the in-person Research Festival 2023 back to NIH! This year, the Library is hosting NIH-presented workshops, and showcasing technologies, resources, and services the Library makes available to NIH staff. Attend a workshop, experience innovative technologies, and leave inspired by how the Library can support your research.

NIH Research Festival Workshops 
Workshop Schedule: September 18-20
Attend one of the in-person workshops being presented in the NIH Library. Hear how to use All of Us research data, create 3D models and animations of proteins, investigate health disparities, discover best practices for data in generalist repositories, and more. See the workshop schedule for details and to register. 

Get a Personalized Virtual (or Printed) Postcard (FREE)
Registration Required: September 18-20, 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
Come to the NIH Library Recording Studio and strike a pose in front of the our portable green screen, then see your image transported to a new location using digital tools from our studio and leave with a virtual (and printed!) souvenir of your time at the Research Festival. While you are there, check out the Library’s recording studio equipment, meet our staff, and learn how you can take your video or audio project to the next level. Schedule your 5-minute session, Monday-Wednesday, September 18-20, 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

Experience the Possibilities of 3D Printing
September 18-20, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
See the NIH Library’s 3D printer in action, discover how others have used it to solve their research challenges, and learn how you can make your own ideas come to life with free 3D printing at the Library. Monday-Wednesday, September 18-20, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in the NIH Library reading room.

September 18 (ONLY), 10 a.m.-4 p.m. in the Building 10 south lobby
Stop by one of the NIH Library table locations and learn how the NIH Library can support your research including training classes, bioinformatics support, bibliometrics and data services, research assistance, editing, publishing, and translations, as well as our extensive collection of eBooks, eJournals, databases, and research tools.
