Explore Expanded EMBASE Coverage from 1947-1973

The NIH Library has expanded coverage for the EMBASE database to include EMBASE Classic. The database contains bibliographic records with citations, abstracts and indexing derived from biomedical articles in peer-reviewed journals, and is especially strong in its coverage of drug and pharmaceutical research.  EMBASE covers nearly 5,000 active journals, of which nearly 2,000 are unique compared with MEDLINE. With its comprehensive, international and up-to-date coverage, EMBASE is an important bibliographic database for researchers and information specialists who need to access the world's biomedical and drug literature.
