Toxicology:

POISINDEX - identifies the ingredients of over a million different commercial, pharmaceutical, and biological substances, including common household products, industrial products and chemicals, and pharmaceutical products. Each substance is linked to one or more management documents providing information on clinical effects, toxicity, and treatment.
Material Safety Data Sheets - Material Safety Data Sheets provide information about hazardous substances, including special precautions, handling procedures, and government regulations. The system includes more than a thousand MSDS issued by the U.S. Pharmacopeial Convention.
IDENTIDEX® System - facilitates the quick, accurate identification of unknown drugs by imprint code or slang term. A match is further confirmed by physical characteristic descriptions and photographs, and accompanied by ingredient and manufacturer data.
REPRORISK® Reproductive Risk Information - provides information on the reproductive risks of drugs, chemicals, and physical and environmental agents. Risks to females, males, and unborn children are discussed. REPRORISK includes: REPROTEXT® Reproductive Hazard Reference, REPROTOX® Reproduction Hazard Information (Reproductive Toxicology Center, Columbia Hospital for Women Medical Center, Washington, D.C.), Shepard’s Catalog of Teratogenic Agents developed by Dr. Thomas H. Shepard, TERIS Teratogen Information System developed by the University of Washington Complementary & Alternative Medicine
DISEASEDEX™ General Medicine Summary - supports disease management and treatment decisions in ambulatory and inpatient care settings. Covers all aspects of care including diagnosis, management highlights, prognosis, when to refer, follow-up, advising the patient, and prevention and screening.
IV INDEX System - provides information on drug-drug, food-drug, drug-disease, drug-ethanol, and drug-laboratory assay interactions, as well as IV compatibility. Both can be searched using a single substance or multiple substances and it features Trissel’s™ 2, the latest database from the ultimate authority on IV compatibility - Lawrence Trissel, MS, FASHP

Calaculators, Nomograms, and Other Clinical Tools:

Drug dosing calculators and nomograms, differential diagnosis lists, and other clinical tools can be accessed by pointing your cursor at the Main tab, then selecting Calculators.

Patient Education:

CareNotes is designed to assist healthcare professionals in educating patients and their families about their condition, treatment, follow-up care, and continuing health concerns, as well concise overviews of more than 700 frequently prescribed drugs. Documents are provided in Spanish as well as English, and are written at a 4th to 6th grade reading level.
The AltCareDex Alternative Medicine system includes consumer-appropriate information on dietary supplements (herbal medicines, vitamins, minerals, etc.) and complementary/alternative therapies.

Orange Book (FDA)
Approved Drug Products with Therapeutic Equivalence Evaluations, known as the Orange Book, identifies drug products approved on the basis of safety and effectiveness.
Natural Medicines Comprehensive Database
