NIH Library Orientation Tours: Wednesdays @ 2 p.m., May 27 - July 8 

Come to the NIH Library in Building 10 on any Wednesday afternoon, May 27 through July 8 at 2 p.m., to attend a one-hour Orientation Tour and learn about the collection of in-house and online Library resources available to you at NIH. The NIH Library supports the work of the NIH community, from accounting to zoology, through an extensive range of scientific, medical, biomedical, social science, and administrative information, databases, and services. Whatever your information needs may be, the NIH Library can assist you and save you time by directing you to a host of print and online resources including: more than 9,000 full-text online journals, 4,000+ online books, 50 databases, 1,000+ Internet resources, and a collection of over 60,000 print books in open stacks, document delivery for journal articles, books, book chapters, dissertations, slides, and other materials, reference and research assistance, expert literature searches, translation services, photocopying, resource and database training (group or individual), the NIH Library Writing Center, journal and research alert services, a spacious, redesigned reading room and two-level library facility with computer and wireless access, comfortable seating, private study carrels, and quiet study space, daily newspapers ( The New York Times, The Washington Post, USA Today, and The Wall Street Journal), access to the NIH Library facility and collections 365 days a year, and 24/7 online access to the NIH Library website via VPN or Parachute account. The NIH Library Orientation includes a tour of the newly redesigned Library and Green Terrace and features a demonstration of the NIH Library website.
